چکیده
Abstract Introduction Anorectal fistulas are some of the commonest surgical proctologic disorders treated by surgeons. Despite recent introduction various sphincter preserving techniques, search for optimal operation continues. The purpose this study was to determine predictors long-term healing endorectal advancement flap Methods A retrospective review a single surgeon experience with anorectal over an 18-year period. impact patient and fistula related factors were analyzed their on primary endpoint Results 87 patients underwent (Male/Female 42.5/57.5%). Median age 41 years. Sixty-nine (79.3%) had anal while 18 rectal (20.7%). Fistula documented 80 (93%). During follow-up months 1-38, 1 lost follow-up), recurrence 8 (9.3%), yielding overall success rate 83.7%. higher from (86.6%) compared other etiologies (63.6%) [p = 0.027]. Conclusions is associated high rate, low postoperative complication infrequent risk recurrence. Long-term without achieved more frequently non-cryptoglandular etiology.

Benign Anorectal: Rectovaginal Fistulas
Obstetric injury is the most frequent cause of acquired rectovaginal fistulas but infection and other forms of trauma may also result in these fistulas. After an obstetric injury, the fistula may be manifest immediately but more frequently appears 7–10 days after delivery. Fistulas occur most often after a thirdor fourth-degree laceration. Inadequate repair, breakdown of the repair, or infectio...

PURPOSE Transanal advancement flap repair (TAFR) has been advocated as the treatment of choice for transsphincteric fistulas passing through the upper or middle third of the external anal sphincter. It is not clear whether previous attempts at repair adversely affect the outcome of TAFR. The purpose of the present study was to evaluate the success rate of a repeat TAFR and to assess the impact ...
